Doosan Infracore completes its R&D center in Incheon.

On the 30th of the month, Doosan Infracore held the completion ceremony for the Global R&D Center at its Hwasu-dong, Incheon plant with many distinguished guests participating.

Doosan Infracore held the completion ceremony for its Global R&D Center at its Hwasu-dong, Incheon factory on the 30th of the month. The event was attended by around 200 Doosan executives and employees including Doosan Group chairman Park Yong-maan, Doosan Holding chairman Park Jung-won and Doosan Infracore president Kim Yong-sung.

The global R&D center, with a gross floor area of 26,163㎡, consists of 12 floors above ground and two underground and is able to accommodate 1,000 R&D staff. Doosan Infracore plans to maximize R&D synergy by consolidating R&D human resources in Incheon, Suji, and Songdo.

The center is composed of spaces for communication and creative idea development such as a town hall and idea rooms, as well as an R&D Academy training center for researcher cultivation. Moreover, a patent hallway for displaying key patent items is also set up to boost the pride of researchers.

Doosan Infracore president Kim Yong-sung said, “This Global R&D Center will play a key role in improving Doosan Infracore’s fundamental competiveness. Based on the concentrated R&D capabilities, we will develop future-leading technologies and products.”
