Doosan Infracore’s website won the Brand Innovation Grand Prize at the Web Awards Korea 2020.

On 11 December 2020, Doosan Infracore announced that it had won the Brand Innovation Grand Prize at the Web Awards Korea 2020 hosted by the Korea Internet Professionals Association (KIPFA).

Marking its 17th anniversary in 2020, the Web Awards Korea is the country’s most prestigious recognition of outstanding websites. The Web Awards Evaluation Panel, which is composed of 3,800 Internet experts, evaluates 18 indicators in 6 categories including visual design, UI/UX, technologies, contents, services, and marketing for 447 websites. This year, a total of 692 companies including customers and manufacturers participated in the competition.

Doosan Infracore won the Grand Prize in the category of brand innovation for the official corporate website it renovated in 2020 - the first time that a construction equipment company’s website has won a prize at the Web Awards Korea. Doosan Infracore’s new official website seeks to portray the company as a high-tech company that is leading the way forward in the Fourth Industrial Revolution rather than just as one of the many manufacturers in the construction machinery and engine industries. The renovated website emphasizes the company’s innovative, dynamic image through the contrast between “Kairos orange,” its CE brand color, and the color black, and the reorganization of the website pages with the focus on image content.

Given its global business environment, Doosan Infracore also used responsive website technology in the renovation of the website to enable it to operate more effectively in diverse environments ranging from PC to mobile all around the world. Customer convenience has also been greatly enhanced as the new website categorizes the company products that are available in each region according to the specific purposes and specifications desired by customers, and enables them to directly access their local dealerships.

The evaluation panel commented, "The overall composition of the UI (user environment) is pure, and the design is differentiated for each content," adding, "The new design concept not only stresses the magnificence of the machines, but incorporates captivating elements excellently too.”

"We have focused on expressing our brand identity as Korea's leading machinery company and as an innovative company that is leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution," said an executive from Doosan Infracore. “Our efforts to maximize customer usability through big data analysis, including visiting customers’ specific needs, were particularly highly appreciated.”
