On August 10, HD Hyundai’s construction equipment division conducted a "Special Inspection for the Prevention of Serious Workplace Accidents" across eight of its domestic campuses, including Ulsan, Incheon, Gunsan, Yongin, Ansan, Eumseong, and Boryeong.
The inspection was conducted to reinforce safety awareness on the shop floor after the summer shutdown and to enhance the safety culture among all employees of HD Hyundai’s construction equipment division and its on-site subcontractors.
The inspections were conducted by key executives, including Moon Jae-young, CEO of HD Construction Equipment, and Song Hee-joon, CEO of HD Hyundai XiteSolution. They were accompanied by local labor union leaders, honorary industrial safety inspectors, and representatives from on-site subcontractors. The teams toured major production lines at each facility to proactively identify potential workplace hazards.
The walk-throughs prioritized new or modified manufacturing processes introduced during the summer maintenance break. Leadership placed a strong emphasis on identifying risk factors associated with the newly deployed machinery while actively gathering direct feedback from field operators.
"We will closely monitor and support our workforce to ensure a safe environment across our refreshed post-shutdown shop floors," said CEO Moon Jae-young. "For new facilities in particular, I urge everyone to thoroughly assess hazards prior to operation and ensure all tasks are executed safely."
CEO Song Hee-joon expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am incredibly thankful that all facility upgrades completed during the summer shutdown were done without a single incident, thanks to thorough preventive oversight. Let us continue to dedicate ourselves to fostering a safe working environment by conducting regular safety audits and proactively addressing potential risks."
